Hi,

Just downloaded and burnt the SystemRescueCD image, and it freeze during boot, just after Autoconfiguring Device (the last line is "Autoconfiguring Device ... OK")

I tried to pass debug as parameter, but nothing help.

Just something curious: this is the same step where Fedora boot freeze, and refuse to continue booting...

Hi Fabrice,

It seems it's a hardware issue related to Linux and your machine.
Try disabling "ACPI" in the kernel (there should be an option for that).
Or try booting in a safe mode with the rescue image, with minimal hardware detection.

hi,

booting with minimal hardware detection work fine with systemrecuecd, but no way with Fedora core 3.
Will try with knoppix, and other distros

Fabrice

EDIT: as expected, occurs the same with Knoppix.
Got a correct boot after desconecting DVB-S and wifi card (SMC 2402).
Will try with only one, to discover which is the faulty one, but theorically, both are suported by Linux...

Hi,

The problem was with DVB-S card. I put it off, and working right now (surfing Internet with Ubuntu distro, because of Wifi card not recognised others way).

Will look at this card (Twinhan clone) and linux support.

thanks,
Fabrice
