Recovering from an error in Partition Magic 8

Hi Guys,

I wanted to create a 12Gb partition with using NTFS for ripping VOB's in one whole chunk.

I used PowerQuest Partition Magic 8 and all was going well and the new Partition was created but near the end it errored and I have lost my main Data storage drive and all that was on it.

Is there any way I can recover the data on this drive or is all lost and needs to be FDisked?

I have never had this problem with Partition Magic before and was shocked that this error occured.

Windows doesn't see my G: drive any more and PM says it is unallocated.

Any ideas on how to recover the data if at all?

I found a recovery program that claims to be able to restore a FDISK or accientally partition delete caused by Partition Magic.

Partition Table Doctor 3.0

Do you think this software can cure my deleted Partition. :(

As you have 2 PCs. Take damged HD and mount it in second one PC as secondary or slave.
Run partition magic again, and if it can see your disk, convert it again.
It is only an idea, and I don't know if it will work.

Hi Luis,

I found >>>this<<< site and found the util that does the trick for me. Recoversoft™ - End User Edition has managed to recover my data, I did lose some files but at least not all so thankfully I have not had total loss. :)

Thanks for your advice though.

I don't know what to do?

Just download the free trial (1.8Mb) and it is all?

I simply entered the partition I wanted to recover, the tools scans the partition,I then selected a destination hdd which has to be a psyical seperate hard disk. Right click on the folder and all sub folders and files are selected then then hit recover.

Then it saves to the HDD I have chosen. :D
