A customer of mine was using EasyCleaner v2.0 and selected removing
duplicates from their hard drive. During this process they probably,
(I'm not sure), removed some critical system operating files. Once
the computer was re-booted this message keeps appearing:

Lsass.exe - System Error

Security Accounts manager initialization failed because of the
following error:

The handle is invalid. Error status: 0xc0000008. Please click
OK to shutdown this system and reboot into Safe Mode. Check
the event log for more detailed information.

Safe Mode didn't work. Using Windows XP repair didn't work.
Will I have to re-install everything from scratch????

You mean Lsass.exe ?

It may be a corrupted SAM file.

You can try this : http://www.aminus.org/blogs/index.ph..._to_the_rescue
But no guarantee.
