Wireless Headsets
Does anyone here use a USB -> Bluetooth adapter and a bluetooth headset to make call from their PC?
I found a few for sale over the internet, but they look very expensive ($200-$300). I also see some simpler/cheaper ones for sale on eBay. I was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to take ANY USB/Bluetooth adapter and use it with ANY bluetooth headset (e.g. for cell phones). I see many USB/Bluetooth dongles for sale, and many bluetooth headsets for sale, but I can't find any information to tell me whehter it woud be as simple as I think it might be to get them to both work together. Thanks! Icarus EDIT: I did some more googling, and I found that it IS possible to do what I have in mind, but it looks like it is tricky to get it to work: http://forum.skype.com/viewtopic.php?t=10822&start=0 |
You can use any generic bluetooth wireless adapters, but the only problem is you don't have control (dialing/pickup/hangup) from these devices.
So you will have to make the call on your PC, then hover around your room/office while talking, then return to your PC to hang up the call :) -kwag |
