When computer starts, I get this:
http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.ph...209B2100626253 By the way, my PVR-250 finally gave out. Bought a PVR-150, like it. |

Something smells funny on your machine  Quote:
I gave up on MythTV and other Linux based PVRs. They are all junk, unstable, and a nightmare to keep up. It's true that I don't like M$, but I have to take my hat off to them for such a fine product :!: MCE 2005 simply rocks! -kwag |
Thanks, will try. I already use AVG, Ad-Aware and CCleaner.
I used the 150 to replace the 250 in an XPHome machine. I like using Titan with Hauppage software and the choices for recording quality. Also have a new Gateway with MCE 2005 and ATI HDTV OTA board. HD captures are really great and conversions to DVD are very good. |

That is, is there a way to see Titan's "On Screen" guide on your TV and control your Cable/TV/Receiver box somehow :?: Or you just uses it on a computer to see what's scheduled :?: Thanks, -kwag |

I'll read what I have, as I am planning to go HDTV soon and will have cable box. I also need to read up on how to capure HDTV for DVD. |
Read my documentation. The remote has something called "IR Blaster" that includes a cable that attaches from the board to the cable box remote sensor. This is supposed to allow the scheduler to switch cable box channels for recording.

Ok, I see now that Titan is meant to work on a PC. Not really on a home theater like Media Center or MythTV on a real TV :)
It's cool, but really designed for watching TV on a PC. The IR blaster is great, if you can get the codes to control your cable/satellite box. That's what I did with mine, but I'm controlling my FTA (Free-to-Air) satellite box with it :) There's a big difference from the WinTV PVR-150 and the WinTV PVR-150 MCE. The remotes are completely different, because the MCE version was designed specifically for MCE 2005. I love MCE 2005 because the guide is free!, and I can see it on top of my TV, for example, just like a dish network guide. -kwag |
