I looking for a good program that can make a 100% backup of C:
I tried Nero 6, but it didn't work because the hardrive was in use.
Any ideas

yes Krassi,
you can do the backup with windows running but can't check it!

with ghost is fast,can use compression,secure and
you can check the integrity of the image!
if something is wrong(rare cases) you only redo the image
and don't loose anything.
you can run ghost(exe with~750kb)) from dos or with a single disquete!

danger:
if the image with powerquest is broken(or bad integrity),
you will loose all, cos you can't check it!



ps:
you can edit the ghost image with "ghost explorer"

Hm? We've been using it for more than 5 years now in our enterprise and are administrating alot. We never had a broken backup.
And, at least with version 7, you can check the created backup (you can select it when creating the backup).
There's also a possibilty to extract selected files only from an image.

ok!
now Powerquest Drive Image. Version 7 is seamless ghost!

but you have to install drive image,don't?
ghost.exe don't need!



drive image is great too, question of taste and habit !

You can run it from 2 bootable floppys also
