Hi karl...

How many hosts do you usually get under "connection"? I only get 4 after 2 hours of waiting... is that normal?

Hi Jellygoose,

No, that's not normal :!:
I get 4 to 6 in less than 5 minutes, after I run the program.
Make sure that if you have a firewall, you open port 4900, and redirect it to your PC.

well I don't have a firewall installed, however I access the internet via LAN and Windows Connection Sharing... (not via proxy though)
Could that be the problem? Do I have to change some settings (open ports or something) on the host machine?

Just port 4900. That's it

well I guess it must be an open port, since I was able to receive 4 hosts right :?: don't know what's going on...

But the program should work fine with 4 hosts :!:

well yes it does, I can download, no problem. I just thought if there were like 100 hosts, there would be a lot more to find through a search.

No 8O
How many did you set in the settings tab :?:
You should have "Maintain at least: 4" and "Allow at most: 6"
That's it :!:

@Kwag: As you like develop p2p programs, it would be possible a web based download manager, similar to audiogalaxy, but when I paste a downloable link into my "download box", no matter where I be, this file will be downloaded in my PC, where my satellite was active?

I assume you mean that it would work just like AudioGalaxy used to work, right :?:
There's some code in MUTE, related to a WEB based administration. I don't think it's still operable. But yes, that would be very cool, because if you are not at your home, when I assume you would be running your client, you could add a download to your queue from anywhere in the world, even if you're not home.
I'll mention that to the developer of MUTE

Version RC4, new interface!

Check this version, now compiled with MFC, and look very nice :D
http://sourceforge.net/project/showf...kage_id=121290

Download the file: release-MFC_MUTE_0.3_GUI.exe.zip and copy it to your regular 0.3 version directory, and run this executable.

Thanks for the link Luis.
MUTE already has some hooks for Web downloading :)

EDIT: I agree that AG had one of the best web interfaces for queueing downloads.
It was a shame they closed it down :(

Yes it was a shame they closed it down, if only they could have turned it into a legitimate music download centre like Napster has become as like you said the web interface for queuing files was excellent. :)
