Video too short when converting 23.976 fps

I've converted a few 25fps films fine with MencodeME, but I've tried 2 films that are 23.976fps and both have been out of sync cos MencodeME has made the film shorter. The film I did earlier was 1hr 38mins and 46seconds long when it was an AVI, but after it had been encoded with MencodeME it was 1hr 38mins and 40seconds long. When I encoded it I selected 23.976fps as the frame rate. Any idea what's going wrong?

Thats strange as I got EXACTLY the same problems when I did my Inversetelecine tests, means ivtc=1,softskip .... and then that internal resulted 23.976 encoding AT 23.976 and I got in relation the same frame-loss like you.

Kwag already did many encodings at 23.976 and never reported a Problem, .... hummmm

So lets see what Kwag and VMesquita will reply in here ... as such experiences are more than valuable for packshot developing! :?

Me too but the strangest thing is that the video recover its normal length when I did the pulldown.

In the end, all was in sync (but i will probably drop the movie as I had too much underflows en tmpgenc reported 153900 bits underflow (over 1.5 GB)).
