ok i have a source 640x360=16:9??
im trying to resize it to fit 704x480
MemCalc suggests:
resize to: 704x360 no crop
meanwhile moviestacker suggests:
cropto: 624x352
resizeto: 704x352
w/ ERROR 0.03%
or
cropto: 528x352
resizeto: 704x416
w/ ERROR 0.03%
and MemcoderME (no script) suggests:
resizeto: 704x356
all three programs suggest different things, which is most accurate?
in some instances the final resize will be +64 horizontally, and -x vertically...even though it 'sounds' like its stretching it, that's ok right? because i read:
http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10410
"Every 720x480,704x480,352x480 MEPG with a 4:3 Aspect Ratio flag will be resized in real-time to 640x480 when playing back."
and how do i know what i should use for output aspect ratio? when should i use 16:9? 4:3? does it depend on your tv, source, or both? because i tried with 16:9 and it looks really stretched with vlc, but looks normal in wmp
