DVD2AVI crashes
 

hello, I have huge VOB which i am trying to get the audio from it. the VOB was 2 MPEG's which i changed the extention to them. i loaded th VOB into DVD2avi and nothing at all happens, and then it chashes. Usually getting the audio from VOB using DVD2avi works for me but this time it didn't.

I don't see were you read that you can simply change the extension of a mpeg to turn it into a vob but if a vob was just like a mpeg, it would have been called mpeg :!:

In other words : you found yourself where is your problem ;-)

Note: DVD2AVI reads mpeg without having to chnage the extension.

well thats what i did to all my other MPEG's i changed them to VOB and merged them, then jsut feed them to MEncodeMe as a normal BIG VOB and it converted perfectly without a flaw, but this time i didn't even get to the mencodeMe part lol i'm still trying to get the audio, and i tried feeding dvd2avi the MPEG's by themeselvs and it seems as if it doesn't like em or something lol. just crashes

Then try demuxing the stream with TMPEG tools. Use the "De-Multiplex" option.

thanks man that did work i got a MP2 file that was 130 MB which is quite good hehe thanks :)
