VCD OFF COLOUR? Colors out of place?

When I play my files using script 4 - Dialbots version, the blues,reds,greens seem to be either leaking out of place or in the wrong place. Poeople seem to have a greenish to redish aura or their faces look offcolour. ANd the reds look brighter than usual Is there anyway to fix this?

THis is my script

AviSource("E:\movie.avi")
BlindPP(cpu=4)
Blockbuster(method="noise",detail_min=1,detail_max =3,variance=0.1,seed=1)
Convolution3D(1, 6, 12, 6, 8, 2.8, 0)
GripCrop(352, 240, overscan=1, source_anamorphic=false)
GripSize(resizer="LanczosResize")
Undot()
TemporalSoften(2,7,7,3,2)
DCTFilter(1,1,1,1,1,1,0.5,0)
#Blockbuster
GripBorders()

THe file is a 23.976 576 * 320 audio is 44100hz

I've tried SwapUV() and the sky went red and all the colours were absolutely wrong.

Do you see the same color problem in the preview window of tmpgenc, or does it "appears" only after the encoding, when you play the m2v file ?

when I test the avs in wmp. The movie itself plays fine when it isn't in the script but when I use the script................ errrhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....

Dialhot 06-13-2004 08:21 AM

Ok but you don't answer : how is the script IN THE PREVIEW of tmpgenc :?:
(menu file -> preview).

Second : you encode in MPEG1 or 2 ? What is the codec used when you read the encoded video on your PC ?

WOWIEGURL 06-13-2004 08:32 AM

I want to encode to make it into a mpeg1. Xvid Koepi the latest one and ffdshow??? is that what you mean? I haven't bothered to encode. I figured if it looks so bad in the wmp when I test the avs why bother?? when I hit preview in tmpgenc the exact same thing as the wmp happens. there are colour leakages everywhere. The reds seem brighter than usual....

Hi,
Go ahead and encode 5 minutes of your movie.
Then look at those 5 minutes in a decent media player and see if you're still having color problems.
By decent I mean at least Media Player Classic by Gabest or VLC.
I've seen that happening to me but just in the preview window not after encoding and while watching it on soft player.
After encoding everything goes away.
Don't ask me why...
I'm sure both of us have setup problems otherwise this would happen to everybody, but if it works, you can take
care of that problem after encoding your movies.
Or maybe I could be wrong here, Phil?
Cheers

stilldoesn't work. colour is the same on the standalone. Its probably the source that is the problem.

Dialhot 06-27-2004 03:38 AM

Probably. Do you know the exact codec used for that source ?
(use gspot to know that).
