Bitrates: How do I add audio to KVCD with CQMatic?

I join two VCD-compatible MPGs together, and I'm planning to create a KVCD to fit on one 80min CD. I set up the TMPGEnc settings, and I click "System(Video+Audio)" before I save the TPR. If I was to click "Start", it would encode the KVCD with audio, but at the wrong size, which is why I am using CQMatic.

However, when I run the TPR through CQMatic, it only encodes the video, and the audio is left out. Even if I rip the audio to a seperate WAV, it still will not encode the audio.

What's the deal? Can anyone advise?

Your problem : CQMatic do not encode audio
CQMatic problem : if you set an audio source, it fails.

The solution : your in two steps.

First, ask to CQMatic to just find the CQ (click on the button "full process" and it will turn to "prediction only"). And let it works. Then open tmpgenc, set the value found by CQMatic, add your audio source and launch the encoding.

My suggestion: Forget about re-encoding VCD to KVCD.
You'll loose quality like hell, because you already have a compressed file, and you have to re-compress to get it on one CD.
Forget it, and use KVCD for what it was originally designed. Encode from DVD sources, or from pristine high quality sources.
