Just got a PM from muaddib, and here's the latest news:

The file avsWARP.dll has been completely removed and is no longer needed
MovieStacker now uses DirectShow to play the media files.
Here's a preview of the Clip Borders window:

His next step will be to completely remove the small GPL code that is left, so stay tuned

Thanks muaddib ,

This is great news Karl im glad that muaddib is still working on his excellent app and look forward to seeing the new product.

Thanks for the info.

@muaddib

Good luck with the new version of MS old friend I cant wait to test the new version and appreciate that you have made this new version after all that trouble you had to endure with the last verion.

At least one once and for all we can enjoy your sotware without having to worry about other ppl screaming for source.

Good luck with it muaddib, I cant wait for this release.

@ kwag
Thank you for posting the news!
I would like to be releasing a new version instead of just informing what is going on... but I still haven't had enough time to re-write the offending GPL code. My real life (TM) was just too rushed in this last month that I have to leave a side all my coding and encoding pleasures for a while.

@ Jorel and Zyphon
Thank you VERY much for your support!
You both are great friends.
Just want to tell you that I didn't stop to develop MovieStacker. It can take some time, but I will release a new version... after all, as you can see in the picture above, I have Lilo and Stich to light my way!

PS: BTW, Jorel... great avatar!

Hi muaddib old friend, judging from the above screenshot things look very exciting for the future of MS.

The clipping feature looks excellent I wish you luck in getting rid of all that offending GPL code and wish you luck with bug squashing.

Dont worry buddy we wont push you for an immediate release we know you have a private life as most of us do and we are patient enough to wait until you are good and ready to release the next version of MS.

I would just like to wish you the best of luck with the new version im sure it will be the best version yet and good luck with the code programming.

Hello Muaddib,
Great hearing from you old buddy
Just would like to wish you the best with MS.
We are pretty patient here
The last time we were patient enough to wait roughly one year between releases
We'll be here ready to help you find all the bugs
Cheers
