TMPGEnc: Merging Two MPEG Files

i am trying to merge 2 MPEg's and Tmpgenc gives me this error:

FIle CD.1mpg is not MPEG file.

and really the file is

If tmpgenc warn you that, the file is not mpg. Maybe a video stream with out multiplexing (mpv, m1v) with mpg extension?

i think that making a fake AVS would be a great idea could u just point me in direction of an AVS script for MPEG-2 that can hold 2 MPEg as the source ?

What are you trying to do exactly? What do you want? If you have already 2 mpg, why you want to encode it again?
Post some mpg info (resolution, type, etc.)

Let me guess : this mpeg is the one that gave you a black screen when you use it into a script. Isn't it ?

Will you undestand what "this source is corrupted" mean ?

nope this is totally different MPG, and btw the source is not corrupt it plays fine and perfect, i have 2 MPeg's that i wanna put on one cd, i've done this before by merging them and renaming the big VOB. but this time it aint letting me merge. so what am trying to do is make an AVS script as u sujested that will allow me to make a fake AVI so that i can load into mencodeMe.

hmm for some reason when i load the MPEG into virtual dub MPEG it just shows an apple lol
but yet the MPEG is fine i play it with DVD player and its perfect..

Where this mpeg from ? A VCD perhaps ?

If tmpgenc tell you it is not a mpeg then IT IS CORRUPTED. And yes, you can sometimes plays corrupted movie (either avi or mpeg btw). Players are generally more convenient than encoders because they do not need to really read all the movie : if a frame is corrupted, the player just jump to the next one, that an encoder can't do.

Power DVD is the DVD player it plays with, and when i play it with windows media player the screen is just all black.

Don't you remember thie script using 2 line "directshowsource" and a "a++b" to merge them ? Or was it a thread with wowiegirl ?

no i don't think that was me the only direct show AVS script you showd me was this:
Directshowsource("movie.mpg").KillAudio()

Note: that i want to be able to specify 2 MPeg's instead of one

I'm not sure mylsef but you can also use daelon to mount the bin as an emulate CD driver, then go in the "mpeg" directory on this emumated drive and just copy the mpeg that is there.
(if it is really a SVCD).

yes and then convert the DAT to a MPEG, which takes about the same time as with VCDgear..

NO
If that is a SVCD, you don't have a DAT but a MPEG (a true one).
That's the quick way to see if a disc is a VCD or a SVCD
