Welcome. First you have to know is that to download copyrighted material is illegal and in this forum won't talk about illegal issues. If you post with any illegal reference, post will be closed.
Well I will think that your material is not copyrighted and for that I will answer your question.
If you have a mpg, you can burn it as VCD. If it don't work, demultiplex it, mux it again as VCD, and burn it as VCD. Make your tests in a CDRW. If nothing of this work, you will need to reencode it.
