DVD2SVCD: choppy or jerky playback

the last couple of months i have been getting choppy/jerky play back and head3ach does not create the encoded_audio_1.mp2 file and i have to do it manualy but even then i always have a bad playback. all my problems are all tied together. to get a better understanding please read all my unanswered posts. thanx to any wonderful person or people that can help or solve my problems.

weel....
headac3he in d2s works using sweethead only...are you using sweethead?
we need more details about "choppy/jerky play back" and "i always have a bad playback" cos
 have thousands ways to get bad results and only one way to good results.

 why don't you post the link to your unanswered posts, then we don't have to search it all!

thanx jorel and pro for responding. i started using dvd2svcd using the defalt settings and made like three perfect cd's but then i tried Phil's script adding them in avisinth.ini then i tried installing the proper dll's. this is where every thing went wrong. ok here it goes
http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11612
this topic pretty much is why it does not create the .tpr file and how do i solve this.
http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11629
this is asking specificly after i figured out what was wrong but not solved
so i gave up then i switched to facar using bazzy's guide
http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11808
facar worked ok for the first encode (i think) then started getting choppy/jerky playback then i tried installing the proper dll's needed for Phil's script. then started getting choppy playback again
P.S. managed to save a script from the dvd2svcd log menu

this is using facar

hey Pro,
he wrote "unanswered posts" and not " unanswered threads". better is let password show us where are this posts with links...then everybody that want to help don't need to search like you did, right?
...posting all unanswered links, password is helping the "helpers".
think: if (yes,IF) he have 5 unanswered posts and ten members want to help, this "helpers" will need to do the same search.

edited> hey, he posted the links "seconds" before my post.

just like to say thanx for helping me :D
P.S. i made a few good kvcd's before without maually installing it (i think)

jorel 07-03-2004 10:01 PM

yes, works perfect!...you don't knew that?
 important: sweethead don't work with "use frame selection" in D2S.

get it here and follow the Kwag's instructions:

thanx jorel i will give it a shot .
P.S. is this going to solve the choppy playback? also i just realized when i
had to make my mp2 manually it was at 48khz instead of 44.1khz is that maybe the problem for jerky playback for kvcd cause i heard someone say 48khz has to be with skvcd

bazzy2004 07-04-2004 06:50 AM

no its 44.1 with kvcd n ksvcd

bazzy2004 07-04-2004 06:52 AM

o n check the other thread, i replied but late, sorry.. check your elementry files, no need for sweet head, becuz u r using the kvcd plugin, as i presume, i also recomend to stick with default besweet.

anyway check your elementry files, see if they are jerky.

not always bazzy(not a law) ....my 3 players suport 44k and 48k in all cases(kvcds, Ksvcds and Kdvds(of course))...i encode "everything" in 48k!
depend of the standalone player and deserve little tests cos the file size is the same but 48k sounds better!

bazzy2004 07-04-2004 04:49 PM

dont use sweethead, just stick with besweet, should be able to select it wen choosing the kvcd resolution with the plugin

password 07-05-2004 01:25 PM

should i install d2s under C:\ and not C:\programs?

bazzy2004 07-05-2004 01:49 PM

password 07-05-2004 03:11 PM

thanx
P.S. do you think i can put subs in using facar?

bazzy2004 07-05-2004 04:27 PM

tell you the truth, i never tried, give it a go, n tell me how it goes, should work...

good luck

ps. after such a long time, i decided to use autofitcd plugin, available from http://www.dvd2svcd.org

follow the kdvd guide, n u'll understand how to use that instead of facar.

kdvd guide is on the kvcd guide page, but the link is at the top!!

good luck once again
