Alright, I followed along the idiot's guide and did everything it said.
Everything seemed to come out just fine, the finished file seemed perfect in every way, for meing my first try anywho.
Here's the stats for the video :
MPEG-1 352x240 23.976fps CBR 1150kbps, Layer-2 48000Hz 192kbps

Okay, now I burned the .mpg using NERO Burning ROM, unticked the standard dompliant cd, and made a copy burned with the PAL ticked and one with the NTSC ticked.

Here's the problem when I try to play in my standalone.
The video is great, no problems there...but the audio seems to be playing in slow motion. It's *way* out of sync. I don't understand what's going on at all. The MPG played perfect in all my media players...and the KVCD played perfectly on my comp too...

Anyone know what's wrong here? *sigh* I knew it sounded too good to be true lol.

But it is just not fine neither perfect.
Your target is NTSC as your framerate (23.976) and resolution tell us.
If you use CBR, you will lost a lot of quality in final encode. VBR permits your encoder to use low bitrate in scenes that don't need it, and high bitrate when it is needed. (S)VCD standard use 44100Hz mp2 audio, in spite of many standalones supports 48000, I recommend you to encode audio at 44100Hz at 128kbps (except for music videos where you could use 160 or 192kbps).

Your problem is for audio at 48000 for sure.
Demux your mpg (if you don't have it rip it from your cd with VCDEasy, ie). Reencode audio, mux it again and burn it as NTSC non standard VCD. But for sure you don't use in right way the media space related to CBR.

I think your player try to play the VCD at 29.976 -> NTSC VCD standart. That is why audio seems to be "slow".

Alrighty, I did re-muxed it with the setting you gave me. Worked like a charm, thankies.
