How to Fix error in a MPEG Steam?

Hello,

A lot of people know DivxFix when they have a problem with an avisource.
I am looking for something equivalent that can work on a mpeg ? Tell me if you know it, whatever if it's for mpeg, m1v or m2v.

Thanks.

DivXFix rebuilds avis header isn't it?
What do you want exactly?

Personally nothing :-)
But a friend of mine has a m2v stream that was recorded on a Digital VCR, cutted with MPEG2CUT (for removing commercials), and since then, the mpeg (mpeg2 in PAL DVD format) is no more accepted by any tool or authoring programs (tmpgenc accept to demux it but fails when try to remux the stream after that :!: and tmgenc DVD author says the stream is corrupted).

So I look for "something" that can fix that out ! I guess that the cutter screw up a GOP header within the stream or something like that.

Can't you see it in BitrateViewer.
Could DVDPatcher help you in any way?

DVDPatcher maybe. Bitrateviewver can't do anything on GOP in free relaese. I will try the first one.

But is anyone aware about a REAL broken MPEG fixer ? That must exists somewhere !

I told BV to take info from it.
GOP Structure
mpeg type
etc., etc.
