TMPGEnc: Jerky Video

After i burn my kvcd and play it in my dvd player it looks like it pauses in between frames or something and it kinda gives like a skipping efect. Does anyone know what this could be from? The file playes perfect before I encode. I use VirtualDub to split,Headac3e to encode to mp2,TMPGEnc with the 352x240 kvcd templete to encode to m1v, and to multiplex.

Hi tony_c,

Did you check "Resample to: 44.1Khz" in HeadAC3he when you encoded your audio

Hey,i'm new here and you have to cut me a little slack

I went back through and redid my kvcd and checked it the resample box and it's perfect now so that must have been it.

hello, im experiencing this one also. my audio is 44.1kHz 160kbps mp2 and my video was encoded from 25fps PAL 720 x 576 to 23.796 fps 352 x 240 LBR.

the only thing i can think that i did wrong was when i didn't change the frame rate of audio to 23.976 also, since i got no sync problem after muxing. am i right?

I used to have the same problem - I think it's tmpg's multiplex that does it.

Try bbmpeg.., or Kwags lined multiplexer here on the forum (somewhere, use the search)

The problem can be related to the "Detect scene change" settings in tmpgenc. Try to change it.

Note: why the hell do you use SO MUCH space for the audio and SO FEW for the picture ?

Sorry Phil this is just my first KVCD, i've been reading the forum for 1 week now, my goal is to have a project that will just play okay in my player, i will be dealing the optimization of the video in my next projects.. thanks for the help.

If you don't want to be disapointed with your first attempt, do it with audio at 128 and not 160.
