multiplex audio to mpeg file

Hi,

I got this mpg file with dual audio (cantonese and mandarin). I ript the audio with virtualdub ( only cantonese) and wanted to merge with the mpeg file to burn on a vcd ( my standalone dvd player can not choose audio because of no stereo tv ) The wav file i turned into mp3 to merge

merge with tmpgenc and burned it. Now comes it that I got no sounds wathcing it. But watching on pc i got sound

How come it doesnt play audio my dvd player. is it because my player doesn;t play mp3

MP3 is not supported in any VCD standard. Encode the audio to MP2 and it should work.

Only use TMPGEnc as mp2 encoder if you have set in options mpeg2enc as audio external encoder. Don't use TMPGEnc audio internal encoder.

That's tooLAME, not mpeg2enc. And don't encode your mp3 file to mp2 because there's a big quality hit, encode the WAV file.

You can also use BeSweet to convert from Wav to MP2. ;)
