First off all I apologise if this is in the wrong section but I thought this was most appropriate section I could find. Anyway lets cut the crap and get to the issue:

Basically all I want to know is how would i make a kvcd to a dvd. There are 2 situations:

1: Imagine the kvcd file is a mpeg file, Do i just feed this file into tmpgenc as normal or do i need to extract it at all.

2:If the kvcd file is in a bin/cue format Am I right in assuming I need to extract the mpeg file from the bin container using vcd gear or something and then feed the mpeg file into tmpgenc.

I just wanted to know if these are the correct ways to do them before I go ahead and try it.

First, you should NEVER feed directly tmpgenc with the source but ALWAYS use a script.
Second, yes you can but tmpgenc handle mpeg1 as source quite badly. Mpeg2 support is better.

I don't even understand how this question can come in mind.
Did you see a bin/cue support in tmpgenc ?

The correct way is to use a script. But you never speak about the audio and the problem IS the audio. It must be resampled into 48Khz as KDVD does not support 44.1.

thanks for your help can you point me to a link where i can understand what is meant by scripts.

There is no support for bin/cue in tmpgenc what i was saying is if the file was in a bin container basically it is an image file and if i wanted to extract the mpeg file from that i use vcd gear to extract the mpeg file.

as for audio i was going to use the same audio as the original source file but obviously when i select dvd as intended project from tmpgenc it will change it to 48khz I assume.

The forum is full of scripts
For general matter :

For more specific problem of MPEG1 and MPEG2 script (even if we were talking about KVCd in this, the script will be quite the same:

It wasn't a question then ?

Oh no ! Templates NEVER handle audio (if you had a template that does taht then it was modified by a noob person). You have to do that with external tools.
