KVCD: can't get KVCD to Work on DVD Player?

I have a kvcd I tried burning it to a cd and play it in my DVD player (Pioneer DV-525) I just burned it with Alcohol 120%. I put it in the player and it said it was a cd and started playing but I got no picture or sound. So I took the kvcd and tried burning it to dvd with Ulead DVD movie factory and when I put it in the dvd player it says DVD can not be played. So then took the kvcd and converted it to mpeg2 with canopus procoder 2.0 and tried to burn it with TMPGEnc DVD Author 1.5 got the same can not play error on dvd player. Am I missing some codec I need or some update to my software? When I put the any of these cd or dvds in my computer drive it plays just fine I searched the compatability and my dvd players says it will work.

Hi urgenfury,

I suppose that the kvcd is in mpeg1 format, and that you can see it in your PC.
In this case, can you try multiplexing the .mpg as svcd (non standard), and burning it as svcd? Sometimes, it helps...
What I don't understand is why after converting it to mpeg2 with procoder, you don't see the movie...

This cannot play error comes sometimes from media (it occurs me with a bad quality DVD media). Could be because of dvd-/-r(w) issue...
