Where do I get the Templates?
 

Hey, Im new to the KVCD stuff. I just want to know where do I get the download Templates and which exactly will I be needing for .avi to MPG1 to VCD(700 MB). Thanks!

You will see at left links to templates and at right links to guides.

And just to start with a correct goal : a VCD is 800 MB (for a CD80), not 700.
When burnt in VCD mode, CD contain more datas.

can someone plz explain y the heck on the kvcd template page (http://www.kvcd.net/dvd-models.html) why a template exists with the resolution of NTSC 528x480. but when i created my mpeg in TMPEGenc it would not play correctly. and also someone told me 528 doesnt even exist!!

Where doesn't it exist???
MAYBE that person said that 528x480 is not under VCD/SVCD/DVD specs.
And that's true.
But here we don't do regular VCD/SVCD/DVD.
The goal of this forum is KVCD/KDVD which are basically off specs VCD/DVD.
So, for off specs targets :arrow: off specs resolutions ;-)
Mind you that the great majority of DVD standalone players do recognise 528x480 and play it flawlessly.
If it is not your case (as by the way it is not mine ;-)) try changing the resolution to 480x480 (SVCD specs) or 544x480 (DVB specs).
But give more emphasis to the 1st one.

Sorry bout that Phil - just some of this stuff when looking for in posts is so scattered it is hard to find. This was the obvious place to look for templates for us newbies that is why I placed it here.
this one for example I guess maybe should.d be locked. I'll not do it again.
