TMPGEnc: Import could not open 0:xxxxxx
does anyone know why Tmpgplus will not encode xvid files. I have ffdshow loaded and all other progs encode except this. When i try to run a simple avisynth script with simple resize to 352 x 240 ntsc and convert to yv12() it comes up with unrecognised format.
I ony have avs reader.dll ticked in vfapi settings. it comes up with "Import: could not open 0:xxxxxx i am only trying to encode video only. can anyone help btw it encodes normal dix5 codec files no problem |
perhaps you should grab the xvid codec from www.free-codecs.com ?

Very last enhancement of xvid codec can't be handled by other things but the Directshow Filter part of the decoder. So you have to use "DirecShowSource" insteed of "AviSource" for these sources.

then I will have to disagree with you, it works perfect using "AviSource", but perhaps there is a newer version out, I haven't seen yet? -Anerboda |

But old sources and/or new ones that does not use this new enhancements can of course be read with no problem by the new codec. |
OK, I get it now...
I have encoded one movie with this version, but didn't try to decode it using Avisynth (only older Xvid's) -Anerboda |

sorry to appear so thick! |
Instead of aivsource or mpegsource you use directshowsource in your script.
