Hi everyone,
I just finished encoding Blade 2 at 480x576 with min bitrate=300 and max bitrate=2500 (on 1 CD I got CQ=56).
My player (LG 5183) read with no problem my first KVCD (Tomb Raider 2 encoded with x3 template) but in this case the video is kind of missing some frames and audio is awesome (as a consequence, I guess) during action scenes with blast and flames noises.
What's the problem?
Please note that the source is a very good divx (1.25 MB) and I encoded audio with Head3che and 44.1 downsample.
Could it be a matter of bitrate? But other KVCD gave me no problems...
HELP!

Hi,

Try the sample disc to determine which resolutions your player can handle. It seems it doens't like 480x576.

Also, a max of 2500 is high, try 2300 instead. so you get a higher cq.

btw. are you using scripts? If not, learn it! That way, you get much better quality.

Either start from your own DVD from which you did this divx ripp or read the disclaimer.
