Hello All

This weekend I was able to convert my first KVCD3. Although I was able to see the movie, something went wrong, because at the end I had a 1300MB Mpeg file, not a 700MB ...

Here is what I did:
- run the FitCD with the same parameters of the KVCD3 release topic by Kwag
- Run the TMPGEnc 2.5. Choose KVCD3 Mpeg2 NTSC Film template. Point the video input to the AVS file and point the audio input to the original DivX movie

That's it ! at the end I had a Mpeg2 files with 1300Mb ...

I think that I need to something with the sound, not just use the DivX file as source, but I don't know what I need to do.

Can some one help me to get just one 80min CD with my movie ?

Thanks

Hi grc,

The x3 is designed to fit around 60 minutes on a CD. Try the KVCD-352x240 PLUS for 2 hours or the KVCD-LBR for 3 hours on a CD.

Ops ! I didn't know about this 60 minutes at the x3 version ...

So, if I want to make two CD's with the x3 version, how can I split the 1300Mb file in 2 650Mb file ?

The way I convert the sound from the DivX to Mpeg was the best one ?

Thanks Kwag ...

Hi grc,

Demux your 1300MB mpeg file and remux it with BBMpeg. In BBMPEG's general options, you can specify the MAX file size, and it will split the file in two automatically. Use a MAX of 660MB or so for your file.

GRC,
I have had very good luck using the KVCDx2 1-CD template. I was able to encode the widescreen version of the Time Machine without any problem. The total size was 745 MB, the only thing I changed was the cq, which defaults at 50 and I used 54 instead. It easily fit on one 80 min cd with chapters and the KVCDx2 logo.
