@Phil,
Hi Phil,
Since you are a big enthusiast of Zoomplayer maybe you can tell me what I am missing.
I have a fresh WinXP Pro SP2 installed on my system and XviD codec.
I downloaded and installed Zoomplayer 4.03 standard and then I realized it cannot read my mpeg movie files.
So I installed MPC 6.4.8.2 and this one worked ok.
At Inmatrix site they say Zoomplayer doesn't come with necessary codecs to read DVDs and that I should download them from windvd or powerdvd.
Is that the way to go?
If I want to use Zoomplayer I also need powerdvd or windvd installed in my system?
Or is there a DVD/MPEG codec that I can download from other site?
Cheers
EDIT:
I said in another thread that I'm a dumm C3PO and I was right.
All I had to do was browse a little in Zoomplayer site and I found Gabest opensource mpeg2 codec 28th May 2004.
I downloaded it, installed it and reboot the PC although it didn't ask for reboot.
But damn! I still am unable to play my mpeg2 files
What's wrong here?
Can you help me?
Cheers
EDIT2:
Here's what zoom403std logs:
Code:
> MPEG2 Video (SVCD/VOB):
ERROR: No component found on the internal lists, playback for this item may fail.
> MPEG2 Audio (SVCD/VOB):
Found: (00600000) Nero Digital Audio Decoder (v1.0.4.6)
That is after Gabbest mpeg2 filters were installed...
Cheers
