Best way to do bitrate prediction formulas?

Currently I am using the following formuale to predict kdvd movie sizes;

Video size = 4,699,717,632bytes (DVDR) - Audio file size
Target file size = Video size / total frames * test frames

Say I want to get 2 movies onto 1 dvdr all I do is 4,699,717,632 / (x)

x = no of movies wanted on dvdr disc

I like to calculate my file prediction manually don't bother with these fancy automated programs which I know are around :)

Is there a better way I could do file prediction or even quicker and more accurate way?

Thanks again.

Hi :),
For file size prediction you can try Incredible's Slicer function.
Find it here http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewtopic....ight=ping+pong
Cheers

Adder,
I read somewhere that DVD-R only allows 4.474 GB of data to be written on it. I am not sure if that is correct, but your equation might be wrong. Also, are you allowing space for headers and menus?

I never use menus or anything when doing kdvd just the movie.
