Help using my new DVD-RW to make Video CD using a template!

I just bought a DVD-RW and i made 2 MPG 1 movies at 1.5 gigs each and i would like to put them on a DVD-RW making them a VIdeo CD format to play in my DVD player.
I used the 704*480 plus 2 template to create the mpg
what do i need to do to fit 2 movies on a DVD-RW to play in my DVD player and what burning program do i use? I am using nero but video cd is not listed under the wizard only DVD video but it wont work.
Am i doing something wrong
thanks.

For Mpeg-1, you can only put 352x288 (PAL) or 352x240 (NTSC) on a DVD -/+ R(RW) if you want to view in a standalone DVD player (Video mode).

syk2c11, you surely must be wrong, Kwag's templates for DVD are
720X480 ntsc and 720X576 for Pal not 352x???. That is if he wants a
compliant DVD not just VCD. Why burn a VCD template to a DVD?
Am I missing something here?

What say ye Kwag?

JoJo

For MPEG-1's on a DVD, the resolution must be 352x240(288) only.
Why put MPEG-1 on a DVD :?: >>> If you modify the parameters on the KVCD_LBR for DVD compatibility, we get around 15+ hours on a DVD(+-)R
