KVCD: VCD to SVCD header?
 

First of all this will sound like a stupid question to you hardcore kvcd`ers.

My mates DVD player will only play films using these kvcd templates when multiplexed as SVCD, so i would like to know if there is any quality loss when multiplexing a Mpeg1 file so it has a Mpeg2 header?

Not at all. This is very common and you can see a lot of threads on the forum about this. We call that the "header trick".

All my KVCD are MPEG1 SVCD.
