Xvid prediction
Hey guys can any one link me to a tool that predicts xvid file size?Or an xvid codec that has it built in as mine does not.

with the newest one, you can set file size.
but file size = bit rate * file length, so why would you need a tool for that? |

movie length as in seconds?
anyway, any bit rate calculator would do, bits are bits, its not that XviD bits take up more space then MPEG2 bits or anything... |
It seems you want a prediction tool like CQmatik for Tmpeg which works the same way but for the XVID system encoder. Means you dont want 2pass encoding???? (where in that case a average bitrate calculation make sense.)
Theres also a "quality based" option in XVID where you can set the Q (quality) factor (not to be mixed up with quantizer! as with that you only can use integer values and its not quality based the way we know it in TmpgEnc). I dont know an application which does it the ay like CQmatic, but you can look at doom9's XVID section if something is available there as we do in here focus on mpeg1 and mpeg2 encodings. EDIT: You can do it trying by hand ... maybe with "AVS2AVI.exe" ??? and the needed Commandline parameters for assigning "Q" levels. |
