KVCD: 144-minute movie, which template to use?

i have a 144 min movie, 2.35:1 widescreen pal.

what templete should i use, to fill up 2 700MB CD´r full, and get also a good compliant VCD 8O

Is the KVCD plus 250x288 the best way to go.

I have an Pioneer, DV-530 player.

Normally i go, witch DVD2SVCD an the cce encoder, an make multipass encoding, but only i the movies is not longer than 120 min for 2 Cd´s and get very good results.

But this movies has 144 min so i want try another way,
i also have the panasonic mpeg encoder 2.5
and the ligos lsx encoder 1.2 (plugin)

thx for any help

Hi Jaspa

Why don't you try the LBR kvcd ? It is a good solution with longer movies and keeps a great quality :P

Just mix up with the setting ( like CQ, Sound Bitrate ) and you can get about 180 mins of movie.

My last movie was Castaway 145 min and it cameout very good, so, give it a try

But if you want to use 2 CDS, you definitly use the KVCD3, lowering the CQ to 20, and if you don't use a HDTV, even to 12.

For pioneer 530, if you have the fitscreen problem, that some pioneer users talk about, try do it as mpeg 2.

Hope had help you

If you want a complaint vcd, then you can't use any of the kvcd templates since that are noncompliant vcds. Do you know which templates work on your dvd player?
