From what I can see on the info it's not possible to backup to DVD with this tool...?

No, it's to vcd, and strictly standard vcd, no gop changes, to matrices, to variable rates, etc.

It IS good though.

90% of the times I used DVDx 2.x, always produced some out of sync audio issues.
I don't recommend it.
Plus the resizing is the worse I've seen. It doesn't come near AviSynth's resizing.
