Can I Cut the Audio Out of the MPG with TMPGEnc?

Hi there guys.

got a question for you brains out there.
I have encoded my mpg to kdvd using the templates provided here http://www.kvcd.net/dvd-models.html. Now that i am done with that can i cut the audio out of the mpg, with tmpgenc and, open up DVDLAB, and use the video that the kdvd template gave me with the demuxed audio from tmpgenc's mpegtool.
if i open these to files in DVDLAB will this be able to work fine or am i doing something wrong.

i am trying to make a NTSF Compliant DVD. Am i doing it right. i was just taking an mpg file and putting it in DVDLAB, but the type is ither svcd or vcd and DVDLAB has to reencode the audio and ext. but the finished files thou they worked on my dvd player, play station, portable. they did not work at a few other dvd players i tryed.

they were not compliant before but now that i used the KDVD templates to convert the video is this enough to get the results i want.

Hya,
I don't know if I understood the question.
If you have an mpg file as a source

and demuxed the audio with tmpgenc and now want to join that extracted audio with the m2v file created with the template, you'll have to make sure

for full compliancy, that the audio is MP2 in 48Khz.
Use DVDLab to author and that's it.
Note that if the mpg source was done in a valid DVD resolution and has a valid MP2 audio, there is no need to demux

just load the mpg file into DVDLab.
To know the source specifications use GSPOT

if the audio was not 48khz wount DVDLAB reencode it to the right format any way? And if i under stand you correctly then the anwser to my main ? is "YES i am doing it the right way to make a compliant KDVD"
if this is what you are saying, witch i think it is.

,
If I'm not mistaken - as I haven't used DVDLab for a while - your audio will be reencoded to be DVD compliant, otherwise use Besweet to transcode it.
And yes, you're doing it the right way.
