Greetings all. I'm totally new to this but have spent time reading through the guides, documentation, and forums. I've spent HOURS upon HOURS trying to find a guide that doesn't use MovieStacker (as I'm unable to get it anywhere due to the licensing issues). What should I be using instead? Better still - is there a DVD to KVCD guide kicking around that doesn't require MovieStacker?

Again, I'm new and have a LOT to learn - please... be gentle...

dkl welcome to the forums ,
You know I haven't checked the guides lately but I'll trust your words on it.
Instead of Moviestacker you can use it's "cousin" (Jorel is gonna kill me with this comparison ) named FitCD.
You can find it here http://shh.sysh.de/.
The main difference between Moviestaker and FitCD is that FitCD doesn't have all the filters to retouch the movie's picture that come bundled with Moviestacker.
BUT, it will aid you resizing your movie with the right aspect ratio and it will deliver a working Avisynth script that you will afterwards use in your encoder .
Hope I helped.
And I swear that I tried to be gentle
Cheers

Hi dkl,

You might also want to take a look at some of the guides on the main portal.
They are available at www.kvcd.net on the right side, under articles.
