Drop in Frames During Encode

hi again,

Well i just finished making a kvcd, but the total time shown in WMP was 7 second shorter than the source. also there is a definite drop in frames that you can see in the video (probably the cause of the loss of 7 seconds). now i have no idea why this is happening, and i am getting so irritated. this has happened for almost the last 5 times i've made a kvcd. What is wrong, it defintely isn't from the video rip of Virtualdub, as i see no loss of frames. what is going on? please help me.

Not enough info to know what you're doing :!:
What did you encode :?: MPEG-1, MPEG-2 :?:
With a script/without a script :?:

You're probably trying to convert a DivX/Xvid, and trust me, we don't discuss those issues here anymore (unless it's AVI capture via HuffYUV, MJPEG or other high quality lossless Codecs).
