Audio Problem with VCD
Ok... I used the KVCD 704x480 2CD template to encode a DVD ripped avi... and before i burned it, I played it to make sure it works, as always, and it did. Then I used Nero to burn it and played it in my stand-alone dvd player, and the picture was awesome, but the audio was choppy... came in and out.. I'm not sure where the problem was, can someone help me???

cynereo,
What DVD player do you have? -kwag |
I have an APEX and a TEAC, both show the same problem...
Okay... I just burned a sample.mpg 352x240 (default) vcd and then Boulder's 352x576, and they both worked fine. But the quality of the video now doesn't compare to the 704x480... what should I do?!? ~Cynere0 |
Hi cynereo,
Try the 704x480 PLUS again, but encode with MIN bit rate set to 650 instead of 300. Just make the change on the template and encode a small sample. See if that fixes it. -kwag |
Nope... doesn't work... seems as if the problem is having it 704x480... any other suggestions or other sizes I could try with close to the same quality???
~Cynereo > > > Nevermind Kwag, I figured it out... I changed the Frame rate from 23.976 fps to 29.97 fps and it fixed it completely... thanks anyway! ~Cynereo |
I had the samee problem with my Mintek...audio would be normal and every 2-3 seconds it would lower to half it's orginal volume.
I looked through the forums here and I found if I /L?ower the VBV to 22 it came out great. Also, are you encoding the audio with HeadAC3he? WOW, what a difference!!! OMG you gotta tweak yyour audio somwtimes and this program is the one! |
oh yes...I also had to go with 29.97 framerate as posed to Film
