Hi,

As you are using a smaller resolution, there is a quality loss (if it's acceptable or not, is up to you: just make a DVD/RW with a sample encoded at both resolutions). But you can put more than 1 DVD on a DVD-R, even using the 704x576/480 resolution...

Hi david,

If your DVD source is clean (Some are not so clean!), you can encode to KDVD directly using TMPGEnc using the full D1 template.

You can open the .mov files directly in TMPEG, if you get the .MOV plugin here: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/vi...or_tmpgenc.cfm
and encode to any resolution you want.

Edit: I just tried it, and I can't open the MOV files :!:
Maybe it's my configuration.

There are many ways :)
The best way is to learn Avisyth scripting, and use the optimal script posted on this site.
