I would like to put the 3 hours on one DVD
 

I'm capturing the new "Legend of Earthsea" on the SCIFI channel with my PVR-250 as MPEG2 12.0MBit/sec(CBR). Both parts should equal about 180 minutes total after editing out commercials. I've had my whole cable system rewired and I'm getting very good captures. I plan to use DVD2AVI and an avs file into TMPGEnc to produce a 704x480 KDVD.

:) If anyone else does this one, I would appreciate finding out which script you used and how you liked your results.

I would like to put the 3 hours on one DVD. It should fit well, as the widescreen format will allow cropping and I intend to use 192 mp2 sound.

Hi Nick,

even if someone also did capture the same broadcasting, it doesnt mean that "he" got the same quality finally on his disk.
There are MUCH things which do influate the capt. quality, like Hardwaresetup, CableTVProvider, The quality of the Cable connections in someones house and so on.

ALSO! As recently many Broadcasting stations did change to Digital Broadcasting, it can happen that some Providers do simply take the bad encoded DVB signal which will be inversed again to an analogue signal for beeing broadcasted via regular analogue cable connection.

I have some Musik Video on my disk from the "ONYX" Station and I did capture them via my analogue Cable connection and an analogue TV card. The funny thing was, that some of these Stream do got some "DVB coloured DCT Block distrotions" even I didnt streamed via DVB .... catch the point? :wink:

I have noticed something like that happening with my TV captures. The images are much more grainy than ever before, i have to denoise everything extensively. I have go comcast, what cable provider do you have nicksteel? If its comcast, which state?
