KVCD: Over 2 hours on one 80-minute cd-r?

I am new to this forum and I wanted to throw in my two cents worth. I have been ripping and recording for almost a year now and I must say that I have gotten excellent results using kvcd template. Due to the limitations of my dvd players I have to change the standard template from 352x480 to 352x240. However, when following Kwag's advice and changing the CQ to 74 I have been able to consistently put three episodes of the X-Files (from dvd) on one 80 minute disc. Each episode is approximately 45 minutes in length, so I am getting on the average 2hrs and 15 minutes of quality video on each disc.

Thanks for all the work that has been done to make this possible.

Hey that's just what I do with my "Stargate" episodes!.

And, believe it or not, there are still "other" people that say that fitting 120 minutes in a single CD-R can't be done

It's great to hear your comments.

I too have gotten incredible results from my tv captures as well.. Everything at 29 fps runs perfectly smooth. I have had a little trouble with ntscfilm though. but i believe that i have just now solved that problem.. Again.. Kwag! Amazing.. :)

Hell, I just managed to fit the entirety of The Matrix Revisited onto a single CD-R, and that's well over two hours. Still looks better than a 5-minute test I did to standard VCD 2.0, too :D

Hi Tachyon:

Try it again! With the new template released today.

You'll see a BIG difference. 8)
