I got an avi of 640x480 fullscreen that i'm making into a 544x480 DVD with TMPGEnc.
I'm a little confused with the AR settings in TMPGEnc and i'm getting weird output.
OK, first, here's my little avs script:
Code:
AVISource("D:\x.avi")
undot()
Convolution3d(0, 3, 4, 3, 4, 2.8, 0)
LanczosResize(496,448,0,0,640,480)
AddBorders(24,16,24,16)
ConvertToRGB24()
So I load the script into TMPGEnc then I load the ntsc dvd template and I have the source AR set to 1:1 and output as 4:3. I guess I'm choosing wrong somewhere because the output has a whole lot of black on the sides(left and right) and the picture is all.. squeezed. Video arrange method is set to Full Screen (keep aspect ratio).
I noticed if I set the Video arrange method to just "full screen" the picture seems ok, so is that the right thing to do? Also if I have both source AND output as 1:1 the output is okay obviously..
But what I want to know is that what is really the RIGHT WAY to do it?
And another question concerning my script: My source is interlaced so is there something I should add to my script because of that.. I'm encoding it interlaced.
