How can you trim kvcd without screwing it up?
I have a few encodes that ended up a couple mb too large for my max burn capacity in nero with overburn. I have tried to trim them with mpeg tools in tmpgenc and the result is that the filesize is smaller and should fit but nero still sees it as too large. I try to load the file into vcdgear to make a cue bin out of it and vcdgear tells me it has invalid mpeg pack size. I try to fix the mpeg with vcdgear and it becomes a huge file like way larger than the original. Plz help!

Be sure when you are trimming it in Tmpgenc you have Mpeg 1 Video-CD(Non Standard) selected for mpeg1 and for Mpeg2 Super Vide Cd(VBR).

wow I cannot believe i never saw that setting b4. thanx 4 pointing it out to me. this solves so many problems i think. now if i could get something that works for file size prediction i would be all set.

OMG It works so great now. I also have a couple of kvcd I wanted to merge but was having the same problem so i just left them as they were for so long. It is even a precise trimmer man i hope the merging goes as well as the trimming. WOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! I LOVE TMPGenc!!!!!!!!!!!

For filesize prediction use cqmatic and you'll see you'll fall in love with it too

well i just merged incredibles and it worked perfectly. As for cqmatic and calcumatic i tried it 4 times and on different sources and it always messed up and gavce me a huge ending filesize. I set it for 800 mb and it came up with like 860 so i tried to lower the filesize setting to 750 and it came up with another filesize even higher. I hear it works great but for some reason it didn't work for me maybe i need to set it up differently or something. people tried to give me advise on what was wrong but all the things they told me i already had set mebbe i need to set it all up from scratch again and give it a try. It would be great to find that i don't need to keep checking my size and restarting to get close and mebbe just mebbe get it rigth on every time like 810 mb would be perfect. I have been doing pretty good at guessing at what movies i have to raise and lower but to have it right every time without guessing would be so wonderful.
