I have used cqmtic and calcumatic to test my movie,
movie time: 99:23 size: 480 x 480

average bitrate is :971, CQ=70.41
after compress and mux audio, the final mpg size = 761M

When I load this file to Nero, it's said oversize,
Quote:
compilation
SuperVideo1 (Mode2/XA) 86:43.00
Super Video CD 762MB
Then I try another software: VCDeasy, below is image size:
videocd.bin=869M, too big!!!! Why?

I try to use mode2cdmaker gui to test this mpg file:
display info:
Quote:
estimated CD size:670MB 76:20.45-Current CD limit:80 Actual written:761MB
670Mb should be fit in 700M cd-r, but why not load in ?
Is it kvcd format has a max compress percent, and
mode2 cant compress it more?
Because if I load a normal 76min vcd into nero, it can burn it,
but why kvcd cann't? Please give some advice. thanks.

How did you mux the video and audio. Make sure you have used Mpeg-1 Video CD(Non Standard).

kev23m :
Thanks for your warmhearted helpness!

Because I compress svcd 480 x 480 , out file is *.m2v,
so I combine *.m2v and *.mp2 in tmpgenc ,
tmpgenc auto set mux format is : mpeg2.

Now, I see, I will try "Mpeg-1 Video CD(Non Standard)" later.
Thanks!
