Hey Kwag,

I'm using the new release os DVD2SVCD, and note that this has some very usefull features to permit the complete integration of your templates in this beaultiful program.

I ask the author, and he told me that you can integrate your templates now, he is sure about this !!!!!

Please, you or another people with the hability to make this, what you are waiting for ?????

This will be a great step to simplify the use of the templates with subtitles for all the rest of us that lives in others country and needs the subtitles.

What are your opinions ?

Hey, it's great to hear that
I haven't talked ( written ) to DVD2SVCD's author for a while. I'll check his site for the new version.

Thanks,

Hi Kwag,

Autoit is a macro utility and some members of Doom9 have used it
to include the own code with DVD2SVCD. Check it out:

http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.ph...ghlight=Autoit

I am trying to use Autoit to develope a VCD menu creater with chapters.
Something like VCD2MENU. This is not easy, but wouldn't that be great.

Hi black prince,

Looks pretty good!. Reminds me of "EXPECT", where I've used it on FreeBSD and Linux, and I can script just about anything with it. The Windows version is not quite ready. Hopefully it will be finished soon. Link here: http://mini.net/tcl/3548

I am just wondering if it is possible to let's say intergrate lets say the KVCD+ template in with DVD2SVCD ? Or is this something complicated ?
Cause it would be really cool and fast.

The only problems I remember with DVD2SVCD are that the VBV buffer is fixed to 0. That causes problems with many DVD players. You couldn't change the value passed to TMPEG. I hope they fixed it. The other thing is the CQ calculations are good, but not as good as the current method we now use to estimate final file size. Hope they integrate the formula we use too

So, it is possible to use a KVCD template with DVD2SVCD. How do you do this. Do you stop it at some point and load the template?

And by the way Funill99 I read your post on doom9.org and good luck. I hope your family enjoys the movies you create. I am doing the same for my family, with some cool foriegn films I have.

Hey Kwag,

The soultion for using KVCD Templates with DVD2SVCD has been
around for some time.

http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewtopic....light=dvd2svcd

The problems I had were:

1) How to use FitCD with D2S (need a commandline version)
2) How to use Headac3he instead of BeSweet (Head has CLI)
3) I could'nt get my substitute ini file for bbMPEG to work.

A DOS batch file executes D2S using "if exist" command to detect when certain
D2S files have been created and then substitute your files during the
process. By keeping track of D2S file naming conventions you can
substitute most files created with your own. D2S allows selecting specific
chapters for test purposes. You can test your changes quickly. With
a command line program for FitCD, Headac3he, and BBMPEG it could
be done. With no intervention or very little.

Jorel -
Thanks by posting the link

Black Prince -
I see the posts about the automation using DOS Batch commands, but I think as an not-ideal solution, but I'll try it.
In an previous post you sayn that have some problems with this metod. You now are using it whitout any problem ?

LadyMiles -
Thank you by comments. I think that I was misunderstood in that topic, but I only put my vision of all this stuff, and I really think that Kwag has made a great and unique job in your templates with MPG1.

In early times I remember when I see an "big" discussion when Kwag has post the first template in the Doom9. Now, today I know why he made this site for the "rest of us" , people without the theorical aknowledge, but with very pratical aproach...

But I agree with you about the family. All work that I have with this stuff is for my wife and kids, they don't understand spoken english, and after all I can't enjoy this if they can't understand the movies.

I have an strange method to make films with legend that was the most simple when correctly installed.

I use DVDX, them export via Premier Plugin Encoder and open the .AVI with TMPGenc and with Kwag's templates.
The subtitles was fantastic, and I can experiment with many options in DVDX.

But I hope to use DVD2SVCD with Kwag's templates because this will be the Swiss Knife of all this stuff :
With only one program front-end, I can make VCD's, SVCD's, DVD's only changing some options, and allways get the same results, all automated.

DVD2SVCD sure make the best program to automatize, and Kwag has the best MPEG1 templates that I have tried. Why not integrate the knowledge of both to have an killer application ?

Well, enought writing, going to make some ripps.....

Open up matrice.ini and paste the follwing at the bottom.
