DVD: Can I go smaller than Half D1 mpg2 files?

Questions is pretty self explanitory. I need to fit about 15 hours of video onto one DVD. Right now, the Half D1 template can fit in about 10 hours. I have tried tweaking it, but having differnt sorts of problems (see here: (see here: http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15669). ) Does anyone have a suggestion on how to get my files smaller?

My opinion: Forget It! go to the shop and buy another DVDR,
youll get a good one for 1$.

15 hours on one 4.7GB DVD is too much, even if the movie
has heavy black borders(2.35:1).
Even with 10 hours the quality suffers quite a bit.

BTW,welcome to the forum :!:

DVD supports VCD resolution, either in MPEG1 or MPEG2. You can use it to try to reach 15h (I already did it. All depend on the materials, as usual).

Note: STOP USING AUTOGK ! You are here to do real work, not crappy lab experiences.
