KVCD: What Is The Difference between xvid and divx?

What is the difference between XVID and DIVX. Right now i encoded a movie into XVID.

To me, XVID is spelling DIVX backwards :lol:
Really, it's just another MPEG-4 ( aka: DivX ) CODEC.
