I put Sex and the city S6 : 20 ep, 591 min. So yes, it is possible.
Dvd are done like vcd exept for the authoring part. You should look at this part before to start to do so "complex" task. |
Phil, .... was your original PAL Vers. of SITC also just a phase shifted one or do you had to deinterlace it?
A simple Telecide(order=1,guide=2,post=0) restored it back to PAL progressive in my case |
what exactly to you meen by the "authoring part"? as i said, all i kno about kdvds is what i know from kvcds....
i tried the kdvd full template and tmpgenc told me that the estimated file size would be like 800mb.....that abosulety has to be rong....some1 needs to point me in the right directions.... basically needs some1 to fill in these blanks with my ideas added in: first i split the audio and video with [ ...virtual dub? mod?]....i then use the [ ...kdvd full?] template in tmpgenc to convert the video to .mv2.... then i use [ ...headac3e?] to convert the audio to [ ...mp2?];....then i join them together with [ ....tmpgenc?]...then burn with nero.. |

(note: I did the DVD 3weeks ago and still not burnt it :(. I will see if I have the vobs on the HD and will compare telecide to leakkerneldeint on this). |
Hi coolitalian707,
Ok, here's something to start with. VDub to split the video from the audio. HeadAC3 or BeSweet to encode the mp3 to mp2. Tmpgenc with Full D1 (or Half D1 is probably better if it is a tv capture) to encode the video to mpeg2. Make sure you use CQMatic (with CalcuMatic 8)) to find the proper CQ to fill a DVD-R 4,7GB. DVDLab Pro to Author (make menu and author). If you can't afford DVDLab Pro try IfoEdit or Muxman just to mux the audio and the video back together. Then use Nero (or maybe even better? ) DVDDecrypter to burn the muxed content to the DVD+/-R. We can start from here. But you better read some guide explaining how to make a proper (K)DVD. If there isn't any then I guess it's about time we make one ;-). Cheers |

And 800 mb can be correct, according to the settings you put. Size is not related in whatsoever to the size of the source but only on the length in minutes. Quote:

For the season 6 (20 ep) I had to change the resolution to VCD one, ant the max bitrate to 2000. All the previous seasons have been done with 1/2DVD resolution (352*576) and max video bitrate to 3000. I put 15 ep per disc (some seasons are shorten than others). All other settings are the ones of the full template. And of course I used a script :!: Quote:

Look at Tmpgenc DVD Author, or DVDLab Pro. Quote:

coolitalian707, you need to be aware that we don't allow DivX/XviD/MPEG4 discussian in the forum as it is clearly stated in the disclaimer. In order to keep helping you we need to know where you got your source videos of the TV shows. Cheers |

But... the discussion about Divx is not related to legal or not. This is due to poor quality of the material. So whatever the origin of these episodes, if they are not in MPEG2, we won't go. |

LeakKernelDeint gives a lot better result. |
So maybe u deal in france with a diff. version like we do have?
As I got a fantastic result, no blending or combing resulted :? hmmmm |
