HCEnc: Problem with HC Gui & Batch 0.14
Hi Hank :),
Here it goes. I'm running HCGUI and HCBATCH 0.14beta. I riped "The Matrix" PAL 16:9 DVD with DVDDecrypter 3.5.4.0 in IFO mode. I created a DVD2AVI project file with DGMPGDec 1.3.0. I have Avisynth 2.5.5 installed. I created an incredibly simple script such as: Code:
Mpeg2Source("E:\matrix_i\D2V\matrix_i.d2v") Code:
------------------------------- This happens with both the GUI and the Batch version. If I open the scrip in MPC or VDubMod it looks fine. I would send you an email with a small clip for you to see but we don't have your email... BTW if I change the script and use a resizer or something similar it works perfectly... Any ideas? Cheers |

Hi Phil :),
Thanks for the tip. Though, I find it odd if VDubMod can open the avs but HC don't . Anyway that will be my 1st trial when I get home because I want to test the tips that Andrej posted about the Gibbs effects ;-). Cheers |
I am posting here as the generic title of this thread.
HCBatch_0.14 doesn't show accurate info in main window (neither in log file). As example, source total frames (155731) doesn't match processed ones (175028). I see that in CQ processing mode. http://www.digitalfaq.com/archives/error.gif Thanks to ImageShack for Free Image Hosting |
This is a bug in the GUI and Batch version. I tell this some week ago to hank and he looks for it. The funny thing: The total frames written in the log are correct. 8O This happens to me very often, too.

In order to test the (new? ) GaussResize that Andrej pointed out, I upgraded to Avisynth 2.5.6 and I forgot about it. I was going to do as you said and upgrade DGMPGDec to 1.3.1b5 or b6 but then I noticed how many problems Donald Graft is having with it. So I just decided to downgrade Avisynth to v2.5.5 and now HC 0.14 is working like a charm again. I'll stick to DGMPGDec 1.3.0 until Don straighten things out for 1.3.1. Thanks for the tip buddy. On to testing Andrej's script for the Gibbs effects. Cheers |
