aspect ratio is not possible in xvcd format?

hiya. i'm having lots of problems making a vcd. :(

i live in a PAL country. my dvd player is Thomson DTH5000. i can make and play normal vcd's on my player but apparently to fit an entire film on 1 cd in correct speed and aspect ratio is not possible in xvcd format for my player.

i can get the aspect ratio fine, but it plays a little too fast. so i investigated and found that my player will play XSVCD but not XVCD.

i've spent 2 days and finally got the film to fit on 1 cd in xvcd format. but now since that's wrong for my player, i have to figure out how to make xsvcd in tmpgenc and then to burn it with nero so that it fits on 1 cd and plays correctly.

i'm new to your site and i saw that the only Thomson dvd player you have llisted is DTH5200. mine is DTH5000 and needs XSVCD.

can someone please tell me how to do this and which (if any) of your templates i should use? i would be eternally grateful. i'm at my wit's end here. :x

thanks.

Nero Trick

I too had VCD play fast on my Player so what I did was used nero to input the mpeg and burn as a SVCD out of it. This changes the header so that your player thinks it a SVCD.
