I don't see the point to "rebirth" something that has already rebirthed once in DGIndex, and has already a good youth. Except to have D2v files incompatible with "old old" ones and surely also with "old new" ones.

(the dooml9 thread don't want to open so I can't read it)

So does this mean that then that the author of the original DVD2AVI is now getting back to working on his tool or has someone else taken over the project?

I read both links and in the first link I also saw that this new version of DVD2AVI it's .d2v files are also incompatible with the old .d2v files.

I shall wait and see but for me I think I will stick with DGIndex as at least with that I know it is being constantly updated.

As DonaldGraft is continously enhancing DGindex and as almost all videodevelopers do refer in their code on the compatibility on Dgrafts work I see no importance why switching to that one from jackeikuo.

Also "he" mentions that "his" latest DVD2AVI does have a new d2v structure, at leat I do hope its fully compilant with the one Dgraft uses

Hi Andrej,

I don't understand what you are saying in this post. Do you mean you will be sticking with jackeikuo's version?

I think it is good that the original DVD2AVI has restarted development it does need it, but for me I do prefer Donald Graft's DGIndex as it has come along way.

I will wait and see just how much development that DVD2AVI receives maybe then I may have to change my opinion.
